Rather than post a link to Photobucket I wondered if this was easier. If I am breaking rules then feel free to delete this message, Frank, no insult felt if you do. :-D http://www.ideasforgardens.net/berghill/AGT/
Wow Palustris! Thanks for the wonderful tour of your beautiful gardens! I think I could wander around in there for DAYS! Tell me, how much land do your gardens cover? And how many people does it take to maintain them? They are all gorgeous! My favorite photo is #30 Pergola to the Roadside
That walk only made me want to see more, Palustris. I can't possibly pick a favourite, since all the areas had so much charm.
Netty, the garden is about 3/4 of an acre and there is just me and my wife. We do have the advantage of being able to work as and when we feel like it in the garden.
Your garden just gets beteer and better Eric. How I wsh I could wander around it for a day just drinking in everything.
Wow! While viewing your photos, I got the impression that the garden took up several acres. What an incredible use of 3/4 acre! Regardless, it must keep you and your wife busy! Looks fabulous!
Very impressive! I'm exhausted just looking at all of those beautiful plants, structures, lawns etc. Kudos!
I'm drooling over the amazing gardens you have. Looks like it must be more than 3/4 acres. Very good use of the space. Love the arbor, pergola, swing, etc. It is just all amazing. You don't list where you live, and may want to keep it private. But I want to ask anyway. I would guess the UK, Ireland, somewhere in that vicinity. Thanks for sharing your beautiful gardens.
Wow....what an area...I like the raised pond...it has me thinking....do you get help taking care of everything?
Kuntrygal: We are indeed in England, the part known as the West Midlands, though we are almost in Wales. Sherry. The raised pobd was built by me with a little help from elder son to get it square (he is a maths genius!) It had to be raised to get the metre depth I wanted. The area was the rubbish dump for the Big House up the road and we removed tons of old household material to make that section of the garden. We never did find the bottom of the dump.
What a lovely, big garden. There are so many places that one could just stand and admire. Is your garden in the "Yellow Book"?
I have enjoyed your garden many times over the past few years Eric, but I think this is the best way you have ever presented it. Congratulations to you and your wife. It gets better and better
