So my mom has 6 plants and I need to know the names of them before getting my kitten; they could be toxic to him. I would greatly appreciate the help!

I know #2 is a spider plant.. but no idea what the rest of them are..

#1 reminds me of the Spiderwort I have

#3 is Philodendron or Pothos....both of which can be toxic to animals
#4 is Corn Plant...it is on the ASPCA's list of poisonous plants
#5 is Lucky Bamboo ... it is toxic to cats
#6 looks like a Peace Lily - the non variegated species, which is on some lists of toxic to animals plants.

So pretty much all of those can be toxic, either to the point of being sick or deadly. Maybe if you provide a pot of cat safe grass for the kitten to chew on, it will leave the other plants alone.

Thank you tons! Im definitely going to get the kitten some cat nip so it won't bother those plants. and maybe use bitter spray (if it's safe to use on plants!)

Yes, I too can recognize number 5 - Lucky Bamboo is very popular over here as an indoor plant. Same case with number 4 also. The rest I don't know much about.

Number 3 however looks a lot like my Devil's Ivy creeper. That too is very popular over here. It is locally known as the *Money Plant* (the myth is that if it grows in your home, then so too will your money pile).

Anyway, if it is Devil's Ivy, then that too is a mildly toxic plant.

I agree with Toni on the ID of these plants. And I believe that "Devils Ivy" IS a Pothos.

You're right Netty, Devil's Ivy is a common name for Golden Pothos. But that plant has variegated leaves.
I am leaning more towards a Philodendron
    Philodendron scandens (Heart Leaf)

thanks you guys! well I think the corn plant began to smell .. for some reason so it was put in the basement (1 down!) and the smaller ones were put on high shelves :) and another in my mom's room. So no toxic threats. And I just got my kitten yesterday, he is too busy running around the living room and kitchen to think about the plants (for now) lol
