We have this tree in our yard and don't know what it is. It is a large tree, probably 30foot tall. Can anyone help?

Jeanie, Is the bark in the picture part of the tree? if so, I think it is a wild cherry tree. very messy, but great bird food and fire wood and cabinets are also made out of cherry wood.

Yes, the bark is part of the tree. Thanks for identifying it for us. We also discovered a Mulberry tree in the yard. Now I know where all the bird poop came from that was on my truck!

Oh, Yeah! MUCHO GRANDE' purple poop from the mulberry. It does draw the birds away from a coveted crop, though. we used to have one in the garden just to let the birds gorge on them and leave whatever else was ripening alone.
