The place where the 24 hour run was held is called Nardini Manor. If you google it, and click on the first listing you will see a picture of the manor house. I forgot to look at the maze. Erin was talking about it on Thursday, but so much was happening I forgot to get her to take me through it. Maybe, next year. It's amazing to think that this place is in the middle of a desert. All around it is flat farmland and newly developed land with no trees, etc. There is an irrigation canal that runs past it and I think that helps. I think they get a lot of water for trees and plants from it. The grounds are full of statuary and fountains. The track runs around the grounds but not on the manor ground itself. It's a beautiful place. The run organizers set up a huge tent and the runners set their tents inside of it. The big tent is heated so they can sleep warm. It was only in 50's during the day and in 30's at night. It rained Thursday and Thursday night before the run but was sunny during the day for the run. The runners wear an ankle bracelet that lets the laps and times be measured each lap and it goes onto a big screen. It is an amazing thing. Oh, if you scroll down you will see a picture of the run. Click on it and it will tell you all about the race and the runners and times. The 2nd place man was from Ireland. Dooley
