It started to snow real light at 4 am, and the temp. was 28 F. Now at noon it's still snowing and the temp is 22 deg. F. But it is almost past us, but the wind is supposed to get stronger, which means drifting! Those with snow, take it easy out there!

We've got snow. It was weird going to sleep with bare ground and waking up to a blanket of white. Ive postponed my job application turn-in til Sat when Ill already be up in that area. I do have to work tonight but its a short drive, thank goodness.

Still no snow here but I think I'd rather see it than have these dreadful gales and teeming rain.

It started snowing early here. Kevin was gone to plow and salt at the vet clinic when I got up. Adrian came home from work at 3:30am and there wasn't any snow on the ground yet. I was supposed to take Kyle to the airport in Cleveland and there was 6" of snow on the ground by 12:00. I shoveled out around the car and cleaned it off...too bad I didn't think to put it in the garage, huh? we loaded up a couple others who were going on the missions trip and away we went at 12:45. I71 was a mess. 50 mph was the tops on the way up close to home, but as we got closer to Cleveland the worse the roads became. I was down to 35mph on the interstate. As we got off on Snow rd( really? Snow rd. who would have thunk that name up, I wonder). It is right where the (now defunct) Ford plant was at so there are 4 lanes for the road there. I couldn't see any road markings and was driving through drifting snow. I was kind of stressed. I was even more worried about getting back on to I71. But I made it and thanked God when I got home.

I just looked at the extended forecast and see that Tuesday night temperature is supposed to be.....-14f. . I am not sure if I can remember it being this cold in 20 years. I am really ready for some of that global warming...come on Al, you can send me some, can't you? Now I am getting worried about my outside animals. I have two bunnies and all my chickens that have only their wooden structures to shelter them from the cold. The coop isn't insulated and I am not sure If I can pick the hutches up from the ground. They are probably frozen to the ground. I'll close the coop each night and the bunnies have straw and it looks like I will have to get them a little more in their hutches. I am so thankful Kevin doesn't mind the momma and babies in the garage.

Well, this past weekend we enlarged the smallest high tunnel and obviously had to replace the covering, so I went to the shop to help K for a little bit and as I was coming down the driveway, I thought "hey, why not toss the old plastic over the hutches" so, I did and just came in from doing that and boy, am I cold. I was kicking through the snow and there is close to 8" on the ground now.

We only ended up with about 3 inches of snow. Most of it went to southern Ohio. Got down to 0 deg. this morning. It's up to 4 F. now.

Bitterly cold here this morning, but at least the sun is shining. Snow for later in the week. I am so sick of winter already, and we are only 2 weeks into it officially!

We have a good 12" here. I went in to work and discovered the parking lot wasn't plowed! I parked next door & walked over. Good thing I had my boots!

We got 8 inches last night and it's 5 degrees. My greenhouse furnace is not working and has to go into the shop. We are heating with propane which is not fun.

I know how I can keep the house warm.....I am canning chicken breasts and gizzards that I got on sale a while back. They have been frozen. That'll warm up my house.....lol
