Its surely a rooted rose bush,..the picture below is of the branch i pruned prior to winter,..it was a straight branch so i removed the thorns and used it as a stake,..lo and behold it rooted as you can see,..i have watched it close just in case the bud that started was just from the remaining life in the branch.

Yep, spring has sprung! Wonderful photos, Philip.
I love Pulmonaria, the flowers are so sweet and colorful. Alas, I don't have one now, maybe that shall be on my wish list.
We have had such warm weather and now on day two of nice, gentle rain. All growing things are waking up and really taking off. Hoping for some pretty flowers to show off soon. ;)

    Hi Deanna,
that wallflower is a winner,..to think it never stopped flowering since last summer,..to be on the safe side i took two cuttings and they are coming along fine,..but just look at the parent plant in the flower container,..looks like i might need a second container like this.

Yesterday was the warmest day we have had since last summer,..soooooo a good start to spring,..it was 18C-66F so i did some perspiring while gardening,..all due to a visitor bearing gifts,..well seeds that is,..Hollyhock,..Lupin,..cornflower,..and Aster,..so i managed to find a spot to sow them,..however its got to the stage it takes moving around some heavy containers to make more room,.. plus getting rid of some Ferns,..sadly.
