Hi all: I just had to post this picture of my only beautiful annual poppy. I thought I wasn't going to get any to grow from the seeds I had sown. And here it is hiding behind the hollyhocks. I have grown them before and love the way the flower looks. I will definitely be keeping the seeds for next year. :-D

Beautiful! looks more like a carnation than a poppy, though.

That color just stands out so nicely among the greenery.

Thank all for the cudo's on the poppy. I hope Philip that yours will be just a beautiful looking. I have a hard time finding this type of poppy seed being sold anywhere. Not sure what the name of it is. I know it also comes in a pink color that is gorgeous. If anyone knows the name I would appreciate knowing what it is. :-D

I found out what type of poppy they are. Papaver Laciniatum or Feather poppy. Here is a website that sells all kinds of poppy seeds; onestoppoppyshoppe.com
Wow, these poppies even come in a vary dark purple. I will definitely be ordering mine from here for next year. I am soooo excited. :D :stew1:
