I went out early this morning to check the weather. I saw the two gnomes scurrying back to their chess board.I think they didn't see me. They were sitting there looking quite innocent. On checking around, I found our mulberry tree had changed. I took a picture, but I don't know what happened. I suspect the gnomes had something to do with it. I could use any advice from anyone who has had such a thing happen. Is there such a thing as a tree gnome, or am I looking at something totally unconnected? Where do I go from here? Any advice would be appreciated. Thank you. dr

Well DR I have no doubt in my mind that the two gnomes are connected in some way. I really haven't seen anything like this before, I wonder what the purpose was. Maybe they are trying to liberate the tree, first give it a face, then some arms and some legs. Before you know it it will be scampering out of your yard.

The tree looks in pain, I wonder were they kicking it while you weren't looking?

LOL - I was thinking the same thing, that maybe they were somewhere at the base because it looked like someone was standing on its toes. :-D

    Definitely gnomish mischief, I think.

Frank, the turtle has moved to a better location for watching the gnomes. He just has to peek up over that rock to have them in sight. I hope that will help. The thought of a forty foot tree on the scamper is too much. We are working on the situation. Thank you for your help. dr

Very clever DR. May I suggest that you invest in a pair of night-vision goggles for the turtle. And a tazer.

Oh, poor mulberry tree, I would be afraid of a scampering tree too. Looks like something our swamp gnomes would do.

Just in case it turns out to be too much for the turtle to handle, you could have Chance Security System on hold!!!

Chance is very involved in this caper. She has sworn in the turtle(apparently with the name,"State Your Name") and the turtle is now a member of Chance Security Services. We wait and see what happens.

DR do you need someone to perform a little surveillance work? I think I may know a gnome who can do such a thing. He's very crafty, a bit of a loose cannon but he'll get the job done.

    ROFL :chuckle:
