I found your forum and I liked it. I need help! I'm no good at gardening, and due to illness I can't spend much time outside. We have a new house. Luckily the little old lady who lived here before me was an awesome gardener, so for the most part a little fertilizer and weeding keeps the annuals and bushes she planted coming back and looking good. My problem that I'm looking to solve is the small bricked off patch in the middle of the front yard. This spring weeds and rabbits killed off the whole thing. I have to start from scratch! AHH! I kill everything, and this is the center piece of a very small front yard! HELP ME! I live in Pa. and need plants/flowers that require little maintenance and are hardy! The small garden gets afternoon sun!
Hi there. So glad you've joined us here at GardenStew. I found a lot of different websites with useful information about low maintenance plants for you. I hope they help you out with choosing plants for your bed. I find that grasses and evergreen plants are some of the easiest to care for in a garden. Also planting bulbs almost guarantees that every year you'll have colour. Let us know what plants you decide to get and maybe you could post a piccie so that we can see them. :-D http://www.bbc.co.uk/gardening/htbg2/fl ... nts2.shtml http://www.hgtv.com/hgtv/gl_trees_shrub ... 61,00.html http://www.gonegardening.com/xq/ASP/gro ... rticle.htm http://www.diynetwork.com/diy/pf_planti ... 92,00.html
