Need some help finding a pic. It is an old perfume ad from the 80`s that was in all the magazines like Better homes and gardens, Good Housekeeping, it was in many more too. I thought it was a Prince Machabelli ad for Wind Song perfume but can`t find it. Its a pic of a hummingbird feeding on a trumpet flower in flight. I used to use this pic for my art class because its a pretty easy one to do even for beginners. We painted it on emu eggs. But now I have lost or misplace my old folder and I need the pic. Anyone out there have some old magazines could maybe find it ? Have some old line cantaloupe seed to trade. These have been kept for years by one person and are like eating sugar. He is 70ish and may have been his parents.

Nope not it. This one was facing the other direction, was 80`s era, it was a perfume ad and was a large,(either full page or half) ad. The hummingbird in it was the one that is turquoise, greens and blue. Don`t know the name but it was a stunning and eye catching ad. You can have some of these seeds anyway Netty if you want them. Mart you may have to resort to getting in touch with the perfume company itself. Maybe one of the magazines will know what you're looking for. I've tried every permutation I can think of for you and can't find your hummingbird anywhere I'm afraid.
I did a search for Hummingbird photo and came up with dozens of the sort of photo you described, maybe you can find another photo that can sufficiently replace the one you have been using. Hummingbird photo

Might have to Toni, but the one I used was a very close shot that showed a lot of tiny details that I haven`t seen on those I can find on the computer !! Thanks Chrisle, I appreciate you looking for me. I can`t even find magazines from that era. Back then you almost couldn`t pick one up that didn`t have it in it. I am wondering if I remember the era correctly could have even been into 90`s.
Didn't find that ad. Looked through the remainder of my books. I remember seeing that ad so many times. Wonder why it is when you want something you can seem to put your hands right on it! Did some internet search on old magazines perfume ads and never found it there either.
I have searched everywhere as well. Might be the wrong perfume. Don`t know why but Wind Song was stuck in my head. Any way thanks for looking everyone. If anyone wants some of these Cantaloupe seed just let me know.Don`t know the variety but they are the sweetest I have ever had. This man has saved only the best seed from his own crop for years.
