I made a couple of holders for nesting material and the birds enjoy the easy pickings.

Those holders must save them so much time and effort. Such a good idea, and so easy to make, to help our feathered friends out.

    Great!!

I brushed my horse the other day and all the shed hair was laying in the pasture, before I finished brushing him some chickadees and house wrens were flying down and picking up the horse hair off of the ground.
They look funny flying through the air with a 3 foot horse tail hair hanging from their beak.....

The siskin shot made me smile-I know that pose all too well in my garden with the jackdaws, sparrows and blue tits. They grab as much dog hair as they can and then they stand around trying to figure out how they're going to fly :)
