never seen one of these in my garden before

    this little fella has been on the same gazania for days now, been waiting for him to sneak out so i could grab a pic. first grasshopper i've seen in any of my gardens. not a species i've seen before either. . . . . just thought i'd share :-D

    Well captured!,..its amazing how fast they can move,..quicker than the click of a camera,..you did well.

    I've only ever seen green or brown ones. Yours is really attractive. :stew2: Well caught.

    Oh cool, I've never seen a striped one, must be related to the zebra. :D

    he was actually a very good student and sat very still while i took a few snaps. don't get much wildlife in my garden, just bugs and cats :-D

    Lucky you! we get all kinds. Skunks, raccoons, deer, chipmunks,opossums wandering through. They all can make quite a bit of destruction in their wake. They all LOVE sweet corn and it is just now getting ready.

    Looks more like a locust to me. We buy these to feed to our lizard so are used to them hoping around his tank. Glad to say I only see the little green grasshoppers on my allotment.
