Went to TSC this morning for a new battery for my old tractor. Got the battery, but saw this new shepards crook on sale for $25. It's 8 ft. tall. They also had a squirrel proof bird feeder. It's metal mesh and the birds can get the seeds through the mesh. It says its for sunflower seeds, but I have cracked corn mixed with mine and seems to work well too.

Lovely find, Capt. I'm now waiting for the photos that show how smart those squirrels are.

It will take a few days for the birds to get used to it. It's in a new spot from where I had the old feeder last year.

What a wonderful find. Love the shepards crook, I found a gorgeous cast iron bird bath on halfprice at TSC last year. The closest one to us is about 45 minutes away but I need to get up there for a couple of those birdfeeders.

Love the feeder and crook. And the fact that it is 8 ft. tall. Waiting for pictures of birds feeding. ;)

The feeder and crook look as though they were made for each other. Great finds!! Now all you have to do is wait for those birds to arrive. :-D

the Shepherd's crook is a work of art. I know that your birds will love the feeder once they find it.
