How happy am I?!?!?!? Mum had a chum make me some nesting boxes at the end of last year and I dotted them around the garden in the trees. Well, a pair of blue tits started investigating one during early spring but then we didn't see them for ages. Well today I heard cheeping and stood close to the box and sure enough, babies calling mumma! Then, as Mark and I listened, dad arrived with a big green catterpillar in his beak and mum flew out to let him in. I am chuffed, fingers crossed the cats keep away when it is time to fledge!

Awww, you lucky girl! :D I'm so pleased for your babies, EJ. I hope mom and dad will keep your garden free of horrid insects this summer.

Great news EJ!! I love to watch babies being fed and then fledging. I wonder how many chicks the bluetits have?

Congratulations. There's nothing like it, is there? It is always such a thrill.
I tune in to that website with cameras in nest boxes here in Holland and just leave it on and switch back and forth between the different birds to see what's new.
I could easily watch the goings on for hours. Really.
