People have come from many places to see an Egret that has come to Victoria. I went to the area today, it's an area surrounded with houses etc but is a 64 acre wetland site. This is the area and an image of the egret.

What a beauty! I've never seen an egret in my life and would be willing to travel some distance to see one. :D

The area is fairly close, perhaps five minutes by car. Its still in the city. There was a stilt there earlier in the year. They say it is the best birding spot in Victoria. There are gadwals and bluewinged teal there and a few other wading birds including about 100 Pectoral Sandpipers and Spotted Sandpipers.
