My 20 year old Bleeding Heart has started to bloom.

And the Vinca is in full bloom too. These were crawling with bees until I went to take the pic.

Hi Captain, your Bleeding Heart is miles ahead of mine. Then again it is next to a foundation, a warm foundation. Ill bet the Periwinkle roots are warmed by a similar placement. I will have to wait. In the mean time I will enjoy your pictures. Thank you,

    Jerry

Now, what did I do with that blowtorch......... :)

The foundation is actually a block retaining wall and it gets afternoon sun, when it chooses to shine!

That works too! It does, however, give me an idea for an experiment with rocks and plants. Cool!

    Thanks :)

So I'm assuming Bleeding Hearts like it a bit warm?

Warm, but not hot. By the time the hot weather of June JUly and Aug. get here, the plant is basically done!
