Here I am setting in my recliner, watching it snowing and gabbing! Got the laptop yesterday and started setting it up. Two things were hard to get used to, One, its a touch screen, which is great once you get used to it. And two, windows 8 is totally different. Problems I had was that it was running really slow between the lock screen and the start screen. 10 to 15 minutes for the start screen to come up. Earlier something happened that caused it to go wacko on me. The resolution changed on it's own and the colors all changed. Couldn't get it back to what it was. So I reset it too the factory settings. Works great now, but I had to set Wifi and everything else back up. But the more I get used to it the more I like it!

Happy to hear you are enjoying your new computer Captain. It's always fun to try out the new features. Especially the touch screen. Now you can reach out and touch us! :)

Sounds nice, make sure you make a "startup" disk and a "System Repair". Different than system restore.

So glad you are having fun with your new laptop. I am certainly attached to my tablet. Things have certainly come a long way in the last few years. Can't help but wonder what the next generation of devices will be like. The voice recognition has gotten much better. Enjoy your new laptop. Makes me want to go in and see what the new ones are like.

well I've been thinkin' about an ACER laptop. There's one at Walmart, (online) I've been checking out, -The ACER, "Red" with the larger screen.
