They say it is zone 5 but with the weather this year the zones don't seem to mean anything. We'll see how it goes, if spring ever gets here.
Hi, welcome to gardenStew from Chelmsford, MA. Spring will get there, for some of us it's a little late. There are plenty of forums for everyone. Many people to answer questions. The 'Stew' is a fun place with lots of activity. Welcome aboard. Jerry
Welcome... no spring signs yet? We've had a boom. After quite a few weeks of cold and rain we have blazing sun. YEY!
Hi JansWisc and a warm welcome to GardenStew! Don't worry I'm sure spring will arrive before too long Jump right into our forums.
Jans welcome to the Stew from a fellow Wisconsinite in the same zone. Wow I think spring has finally gotten here. Looking forward to seeing pic's of your little corner of the world.
Hi there and a warm welcome to our forums from Scotland in the UK. Spring has, just, arrived here so I'l be sure to tell it to stop by your place too. :-D
Hi and Welcome from SE Texas. Hope you get some Spring soon... I'd sure like to see what all you grow.
Thank you all for the welcomes. We've had a few days now when there was very little rain and the temperature has made it out of the 40s. But, the ground is still to wet to work. The grass is greening however, so hope for time digging in the dirt (excuse me, soil) is hanging in there.
Hello Jan Welcome to Gardenstew from southern Ontario! Spring hasn't been great here this year either
Living in an urban area I only have a small vegetable garden, about 8 x 15. Occasionally I plant annuals around the yard but don't have a lot of time for flowers. I'd like to do more with flowers but the core reason for gardening is tomatoes. I used to start seeds with great success but now I save some time by buying them from the garden center. The number of varieties available have increased substantially in recent times so it is possible to try out new stuff fairly I inexpensively. The absolute best payoff from gardening for me is picking a ripe tomato on a 90 degree day and eating it out of hand while it is not from the sun. Now, if only spring would come. I hope to be able to put my seed starting equipment to use again but it will have to wait awhile longer. In the meantime I'll enjoy the tomatoes started by someone else.
