Good Afternoon everyone I planted some glads the other day do you all think they will bloom this year They are mixed So I think they will be beautiful.I hope so they are nice spring flowers. Thank you Margie ( photo / image / picture from margie12u's Garden )
You may have planted them too soon, they need warm soil or the bulbs will rot. They do bloom their first year, no problem with that, usually 8-9 weeks after planting. If you want to have blooms from late spring thru late summer, you can plant a few each week and have them all season long. Full sun and very warm weather is what they thrive on. Where you are you will probably have to dig the bulbs up in late fall and store them thru the winter. Is that a picture of your glad bed or something else?
Glads Hi Toni no this is suppose to be my shade garden if the weather changes so I can plant my little sprouts that are about 4 in. high now, they are all going to fall over if I don't plant them soon, I have already repotted them once, and some 3 times. I don't have any more room to put one more plant, unless its a just have to have it. You know what I mean. Thank for the info. Margie ( photo / image / picture from margie12u's Garden )
