Our house has electric baseboard heat and is very expensive to use. That's why I have a wood burner. Well in the past we have used small space heaters to keep the living room and kitchen up in the high 60's or close to 70. That way it's not freezing when you get up in the morning and dosen't take as long to heat up either.

This past Tues we got a new heater for the living room. It is called an Eden Pure heater. Several reasons why I bought it. 1. It's made in the US. 2. It has a 5 year warranty. and 3. It can be fully automatic. It is about the size of a small window air condtioner but is on casters so can be easily moved. The price was quite high just over $400. But from what I have seen in using it for several days, is well worth it. You just put it on auto, set the temp and forget it. It can be controled by a remote that comes with it. We have had night temps around freezing but the living room has been at 71 deg each morning when I get up. When the temp gets up to what it is set for, the fan cut's back to a slower speed. Once the temp has been at the setting for several minutes without changing, the heater cuts off automaticlly. I don't usually brag about appliances, but I did have to on this one. I know several people who have one and they love them. They are made right here in Ohio in Canton.

Congrats on your purchase. Sounds like money well spent.
I know all too well about heating with wood, and space heaters...
    Stay warm! ;)
