I love salvia and someone had a picture of "HOT LIPS" salvia on a gardening group (Facebook) I am in so I had to have it. It is not hardy in my area but I am going to try and save it somewhere in my garden or garage...otherwise if I can buy it next summer, I will again.

I have one of those also. They are supposed to be hardy here. It's looking pretty sad with all the heat though. Hopefully it'll come back when the temps cool off some... and then again in the spring. The flowers are soooo cute!
Your plant looks so lush and pretty!

OO I like!! :smt049 I wonder just how hardy it would be here in Scotland though? Time to do some research methinks.
It's a real beauty no doubt about that. :D

    Thank you...

Salvia Sage: Salvia microphylla Hot Lips, I bought mine from Romence Gardens in Michigan, Wisconsin

    Hardiness is zone 8-11

I love it because I have it in the 2 front containers in the driveway and it gets pretty windy and this stuff really can stand up to strong winds and pop right back up. Then I added some cigar plants to it, to help draw the hummingbirds to it and some petunias.

I forgot to tell you I have 3 plants in each container and the plants came very nice and healthy when I purchased them through the internet...not the greatest picture but you can see how 3 plants have filled out.
