We just planted about 25 "skip laurels" in our backyard as a privacy hedge. Some of them arrived in a sadder state than others, but several are starting to look very sad. Some have yellowing and browning leaves, some look droopy, and in general I can't tell if we planted them wrong of if we're watering them wrong... I think we may have planted some of them a little too deep - the nursery said to plant them at ground level, but others have told us to plant with the base a little above ground. Some people told us they turn yellow if they are getting too much water, others have told us the roots are unhappy because we didn't give them enough of a bed of good soil when we dug the holes. Any suggestions at all? Should we dig up and replant? I don't want to watch them die! Thanks!
