Greetings from Northeastern Oklahoma! Having survived a recent nasty storm, I'm more in the gardening mood than ever. Can't seem to find enough to keep me busy until spring, which seems soooo far away! Thank you for letting me join. I look forward to chatting with all of you. :-D Karen Marie

Hi Karen Marie, Welcome to the Stew from north Texas. Yep, there is plenty here to keep you busy for the next few weeks while you wait for Spring. Hope you enjoy it here. And we love pictures. Don't forget to start your own Blog too.

Hiya, WUVIE Welcome to The Stew! You've found a great board, with lots of friendly folks. Jump in anywhere and join the fun. :-D
Friendly replies, warm welcomes! My goodness, what a warm and friendly bunch! :-D Many times I find a discussion board might have one or two replies over time, but this board seems very popular. So happy I joined! Just to let you know how I found you, I was surfing for bowling balls decorated as garden ornaments when I found Toni's post about a mosaic project. My current obsession is turning bowling balls into a mosaic art for the home and garden, and I can't seem to find enough fellow bb-ers to talk about them. I guess you could say I'm into garden junk, if you will. Nothing trashy looking, just unique ways of using leftovers. Waste not want not. As I've shown up empty handed and you all have been so welcoming, I'll bake bread and angel food cake today. How does that sound? Looking forward to spending much time on this site. Karen Marie P.S. This is what I did to a giant satellite dish that was left at our home by the previous owners. It is attached to a telephone pole with what are known as 'ditch lilies' (one of my favorites) in front of it:
Wow, neat idea. It blends now instead of sticking out. Oh, welcome from sunny Arizona. I'm waiting for spring too. It might get here sooner than yours though. I live at a medium altitude, not down in the desert. Dooley
Hey Karen Marie, so glad my bowling ball topic led you here. I have done two bowling balls, one is in the house decorated to make me think of the Texas State flag. hmmmmmm, bread......mmmmmmm, angel food cake...darn this low carb diet we are on. Maybe I can sneak out later without the family knowing I cheated. Your satellite dish is adorable.....has me thinking I might need to keep an eye out for one of those too.
