My old monitor that came with the computer started having color problems. There was a blue overcast over everything until it was warmed up. We had one a few years ago that did the same thing only in green. One day it just fried. You could see the edges turn brown. We've been looking at monitors a couple of weeks and decided to go to Staples and buy one of theirs. But, the salesman recommended an Envision over their brand so that's what we bought. It's a 19 inch LCD flat screen. Dan put it together and hooked it to the computer and adjusted things and it works just fine. Dan has an Envision CRT with a flat screen and he hasn't had any problems with his. This one was cheaper than the one we was looking at and has a three year warrenty. I think we'll keep it. We can use a bigger resolution so I can see the blue border here now. Dooley
Good for you Dooley, nothing like a clear perspective of things. I can't imagine looking at the Stew and not seeing the flowery blue background each day BTW my laptop screen is still on it last legs (note the linked-to topic was posted Feb 13 2006)
Congrats Dooley We have to get one soon let me know how you like yours since you shopped for one could you PM me with some prices? thanks
Congrats on your new monitor, Dooley. Seems as if we just get our computers fixed and our tires start to go flat.
I'll have to keep that one in mind. I want a new flat monitor so bad. This monitor came with my first computer. Still is working but sometimes the color get very dark then it will kind of go back and forth. Right now it's looking okay, but I keep wondering if it is about to go out pretty soon. I may start shopping for one maybe I could treat myself to a birthday present.
Congrats on your new monitor. We set our friends computer up and hers was similar to yours. I was seeing Green with envy.
Congrats on the flat screen monitor Dooley. I know Randy will be shocked when he finds out that now I am thinking I need one too....afterall, I am the one who said "No, I don't want a CD player...I have my cassette tapes to listen to". :-D
