My wife bought a new plant this year. It's a coreopsis that I had never seen before.

It's lovely. :D Those don't like me. They look at me, sigh and die. Good luck with yours. May it grow and bloom and be beautiful.

That's a Coreopsis tinctoria, common name Plains Coreopsis, garden coreopsis, golden tickseed or calliopsis.

Really pretty, I have been hoping to have one in the garden next year.

I love them but also have no luck. Seeing yours makes me want to try again.

I lined one of the paths in my garden with these this year--so you know I like 'em. ;)
Yours looks really healthy and happy. I hope you can keep him for several years to come.

Very pretty Capt. I like Coreopsis a lot. As long as it is deadheaded it blooms forever. I think I have that one somewhere.

Mine is a new plant this summer and it's bloomed, but remained small. Hope it grows up next year and we'll compare notes then.

Coreopsis is one of my favorite plants. I don't have any this year. Usually they come back every year but it was so dry last summer and the grasshoppers devoured so much stuff. Next year I shall buy more seeds and have lots of them again. Yellow is my favorite color flowers. dooley
