Those Hydrangea look exciting and the Yucca's lovely. :D Why are you abandoning that corner?

    On their own

My house has an empty lot next to it that has about a dozen mature trees. Pecan, Oak, Camphor, and Southern Magnolia. I planted it 5 years ago and got it established. Now, the plantings are all on their own. I'll spray RoundUp when needed, but other than that, the only interest is to see how they come along. Also, I don't have the time or the motivation to keep up with it. I have enough other things going on more important.

oh oh... those oak leaf hydrangea look familiar! I have been chopping down some that look like these... we have a lot of oaks and they looked like saplings. It's also very shady, so if they are hydrangea, that would explain no blooms... how to tell? So many abandoned areas here!

oh, and your plants look wonderful!

I just showed DH and he laughed and said: "Of course!"

He said they looked like a few things he weed-wacked today!
