So that we could keep track of all the non-rain we've been having lately, dr bought me a new rain guage. I think I will keep it inside so it doesn't get wet. We haven't had rain for months. Just predictions. Dooley

That's sooooo cute. It would be a shame if it got all wet and muddy....you could use it as a flower vase inside. :-D

I like the rain gauge. Mama turtle looks resigned to have her baby sitting on her back. Wannabe

One of our neighbours has a rain gauge similar to your Dooley - only with rabbits. She puts cut flowers in hers - never has been used to measure rainfall as she keeps it in her conservatory. I like your tortoises better than rabbits any day. :-D

That's as cute as can be, I think it would make a terrific bud vase.

Sure is cute Dooley. If it were used areound here to measure rain lately it would have floated away. Best to keep it inside safe and dry.

Very cute Dooley. One question, is that turtle in your avatar the same as the "sat-upon" turtle in the rain guage? They both have a similar expression.

What you could do, is when the TV tells you how much rain you got, you could fill your rain gauge which you keep inside to the exact spot the TV said. You could fill it with water colored with food coloring so when you take pics so we can see, we would know how much rain arrived at your house.
    Now parse those sentences.

Dan says the turtle in the rain guage just has a sappy expression but the one on my avatar has a whacky expression because it's been drinking too much. Dooley
