My fervent prayers have been answered--there is a new restaurant in the little town near us, and it is GOOD! We had lunch there today (mushroom tortellini and chicken bella with marinara sauce) and it was great. The restaurant is clean, the service is attentive, and the prices are too low (but I ain't tellin' them!). The bread was delicious and warm, and the salad was crisp and the greens were varied.
    Now, I'll start praying for a shoe shop . . . .

Wow what a blessing that is in so many ways. A shoe shop you say. Is that a place where you go to shop for shoes? Or is that a place you take your shoe's to be fixed. When I was a kid a shoe shop was one that fixed you shoes. Just thought I'd ask so I know exactly how to pray. ;)

For me a shoe shop is where you buy shoes (although they are pretty scarce around here, unless you want running shoes/trainers/basketball shoes).
While you are at it, could you also pray that we get a dress shop that doesn't cater to the under-20 crowd exclusively? You wouldn't want to see me in a tube top.

You're going up in the world having a new restaurant in town. A shoe shop next you say - is there no stopping you woman? :D :D You'll be wanting your own junque shop next. ;)
Seriously though I'm glad the restaurant is clean and the food is good and at an affordable price. :-D

    Oh Jane,
That is good for you. I can't imagine the choice of one or two restaurants to choose from. Which probably isn't an all bad thing, though. Way too many of us have it too easy to go out to eat. We don't normally make a habit of it, but this past couple of weeks has been a few too many. We went for a part (an hour from home) for a machine one night so we stopped at Chik Fa Lay (sp? I am sure this is wrong) which we had never been to one before. We took Kevins mom and dad out to eat for lunch the same day. Last night the kids wanted Mexican from the one in town and for lunch K was out looking at a job and it was close to lunch time so we stopped for lunch.... I just said tonight my stomach is feeling this, too.

Now for that shoe store and dress shop...May the force be with you. (And I don't think I want to see you or any one else in a tube top. That is just too much information )

I guess one day we will have to come up and try it. We are always looking for a good place to eat.

Marlin ok. Looking forward to hearing about the shoe shop that will be opening in your area soon. Positive thinking works wonders. But I agree with you when one is shopping for clothes that do not look like they belong on a 20ish person. YIKES! No tub tops here either.
