Ok, so he's not a bloom or in my garden. But he IS new this year! This is the 3rd colt born this spring and just 2 days old in this shot. He's really friendly too :)

Oh! I love the colour of the tulips! The Flaming Parrot reminds me of peppermint vanilla ice cream.

Love the blue Dragon Head too! I would love to have that plant in my gardens.

What a sweet little fella that little colt is! I love newborn horses. Years ago I used to help foal my friends horses. I miss those days.

What breed of horses do you have, Netty? Standardbred, Thoroughbred or ?

They are my next door neighbors horses Chelsea. They breed Standardbred horses.

There were 2 more types of Parrot Tulips in the package so hopefully the others will bloom soon.

Netty what fabulous tulips. I love each and everyone of them but my heart belongs with that blue.
The little colt is so cute I love the forehead marking.

Lovely...I really like the Apricot Parrot tulip, I'm always looking for unusual color combinations. Will have to keep an eye out for that one!

Wonderful plants and colt, Netty. My netty here on the Lottie complex is also a long time horse person. Although she has retired from actively doing shows and keeping a horse, she still works with them part time.

I like the flame tulip. I'm not fond of blue flowers for some reason but those are sure pretty. I haven't been outside for some days to look at my flowers. I may be able to go out tomorrow as we had some rain that might have settled the pollen. dooley
