Good Morning everyone, I'm new to the group; found you while trying to figure out why my Chenille plant had drooping leaves every few days. I bought it from Wal-mart in sad condition. It has recovered and been doing very well, except for the drooping leaves. I suspect it needs to be re-potted, but I thought I might try to get confirmation before doing so. I am an African Violet fan byself, so some of the other plants I try, I'm never sure about how to handle.

Hi Carolyn and a warm welcome to GardenStew or the "Stew" as we like to call it. Did you find an answer to your question here?

I recommend reading the GardenStew Starter Pack to get to grips with all we have here. Lots of fun stuff, check out our blogs, calendar and member map for example :D

Looking forward to seeing you around here ;)

Welcome, Carolyn! Hope you find your answers - I have never kept a chenille plant myself, but perhaps someone else here may have a hint.

Hi Carolyn and welcome to the Stew!! I look forward to getting to know you!! I have chenille plants!! The leaves on mine will drop if they get too dry. I have mine planted out in my garden so I don't know how they act when they need to be repotted. I'm sorry that I can't be more helpful!! Good luck with it.

Hi there Carolyn. Great to have you here with us at GardenStew. Do stay and join in the fun and let us get to know you better.

Now about your Chenille plant. If it's been watered and fed enough and everything else is fine then I'd say that it sounds as though it definately needs re-potting. There's certainly no harm in trying. Let us know if it picks up once it's in a bigger pot. :-D
