Hi there Coppice and a warm welcome to GardenStew from West Lothian in Scotland. :-D It sounds as though you have quite a collection of bonsai. I'd be interested to know which types of these little trees you have and how long you've been growing them. I look forward to getting to know you.
Welcome to the forum, Coppice! You'll find lots of really nice people here with a wealth of gardening experience. You are in a lovely part of the country. I'm sure you and your bonsai will be very happy there!

Hi Coppice, welcome to GardenStew from north Texas. Oh, cabin bound for the winter sounds like heaven to me. I hope you have some other hobbies besides Bonsai to keep you busy for the next few months.
fourty of my babies are hearty trees (for this zone), they are slumbering inder a mulch and a blanket of snow. Nine are indoors peeking out at the snow and shivering A couple Rhododendron Indicum (my Latin is awful), an Olive, a christmas cactus, and Three Tx Ebony, and a rosemary, Out doors is mostly crab apples, larch, bald cypressm, pear, and spruce'.
Hi and welcome to GS, from the coastline of Karachi Pakistan! So nice to finally have a Bonsai master among is - I for one would love to see some pictures of your work!
I dunno about being a 'master'. A longish time ago I lived inna rental with a very large Japan maple. It made countless volunteers. Me being a frugal yankee type, just driving a mower over them wounded my cheep. Seeing as I had been gardening for like 30+ years, by then I was sure I knew everything I needed to pot train them. Not! But I had lotsa seedlings to learn, and to learn to go find out what I didn't know. Much reading later and many dead saplings I finally feel that I have the beginnings of the skill set to keep trees in shallow pots. In the inteveining fifteen years all the Japan maples have been given away. This last move made it nessisary to pick and choose what I was still wanting to work on. If you are a facebook fan there are some bad pictures on my page (Tom Cagle). I am not that computer literate, up and down loading things is still all greek to me.
Welcome to the Stew from the snowy, cold coast of mid-Norway. I admire your patience. I usually kill potted plants only days after bringing them home so I've stopped doing that. I'm looking forward to stewing with you.
Droopy, This site gets gardeners from the whole globe. I'm still fumbling a little bit trying to answer posts and be relavent to the writers needs. Time will tell if a crusty old yankee can encourage gardening experience.
Fumble all you like. The best thing about the Stew is that we contribute what we can, no demands whatsoever. I tried to look up your Facebook page, found one person with your name but am not certain it's you. Do you water ski?
No, I'm an old ADAPT activist tho. Politics is sometimes off topic on gardening forums. ADAPT (american disabled for attendent programs today). So thats as far as I can offer for other key words.
Hi Coppice Lovely to have someone with bonsai interest around. Welcome to you from Cape Town, South Africa. And like S-H I would love to see your plants.
