for 12 hrs straight. Well actually more like 14 hrs. I checked the rain guage this morning and there was 1 6/10's in it. My grass looks like spring grass this morning. The only drawback is that my phlox is all laying on the ground. The bloom heads were already heavy just from the flowers and then the weight of the rain, the stems just couldn't hold them up anymore.

Such a pity your beautiful phlox have been affected by the rain but so glad it's been a nice, steady gentle fall for you.

There are always trade offs with the rain we need aren't there. Darn... Maybe a nice surprise of cut flowers for the inside??? Have a relaxing day because it sounds like you will be mowing the lawn lots again if its spring-like. :)

We did too! I haven't mowed the grass in more than 2 weeks (yay! zoysia!) but the rain gave it all a boost so I'll be mowing Sat bright and early!
