Our local McDonalds has coffee at 1/2 price for seniors. 50 cents a cup. I stopped in this morning to have a cup and the manager said " It's paid for!" I asked who paid for it? She said a woman driving a blue Cadillac stopped in and said I want to buy the military and vets a cup of coffee. She handed the manager a $100 bill and said pay for their coffee until that runs out! The store is right around the corner from the Ohio National Guard base. I had my Viet Nam Vet hat on at the time. So I told the manager that if she came back in to thank her for me.
There are still some really nice people in this world. It makes your heart warm to hear about them. dooley
Capt Kirk, Touching.... That is such a small thing to do but says a big THANKS. More of us should do these kind of things. That's beautiful.
I love to hear of things like this. It's good to know that there are still folks out there who really appreciate what the military and vets do and have done for them.
