On the Sundance channel, wherever you may find it, there is a 1 hour program on Monday evenings at 8:00 PM Central Standard time, for the next 4 weeks, entitled "Nimrod Nation". The Nimrods are a high school basketball team, about which they made a documentary. Partly because of their name, and more because they are a high school of some 90 students that won their divisions basketball championship the year before. The Nimrods are located in Watersmeet, Michigan, about 10 miles north of us. We are in Land O' Lakes Wisconsin, right at the top of Wisconsin. During the filming of this documentary, the film crew lived in a rental house on our lake. Monday evening I saw the first episode of the program, and I found that the outdoor photography was a very accurate depiction of our area. The LAC Vieux Desert band of the Chippewa's live on a reservation near there, and operate a casino in Watersmeet. They are a part of the story. Many of the places that are featured are places we frequent. You may find it an interesting hour to watch. Tom
