Ian's comment when he saw your photograph was " It's obviously a female." I won't tell you my answer!! That is certainly some gape the gull has isn't it? It could easily swallow a large crab whole!!
Eileen, I could swallow a whole crab whole, as long as it was swimming in melted butter! Kildale, that gull's mouth is amazing. Reminds me of some politicians . . . .
