About 7:30 pm Thurs, night I was taking a shower and felt a little dizzy and then WAM, my defibrilator went off. I dried off and got dressed and my wife took me to the emergency room. They did all kinds of tests and etc and decided that I didn't have a heart attack. They kept me overnight for observation. This morning a rep from the company that makes my defibrilator downloaded the info and said that my heart had gone into a rythem that had speeded up. The defib had basically done what it was supposed to do. My cardiologist said I could go home with no restrictions. But did say that if it happened again that he could put me on medicene to help control the heart rythem.

Thank heavens you were smart enough to go to the ER and find out what was going on. Please take care of yourself--we would all hate to miss out on the vicarious vacations you take us on and you can't do that if you aren't feeling well. Give your wife a big hug for all of us--she must have been terribly worried.

Glad to hear everything turned out okay and the defibrilator did what it is designed to do.

I'm so glad you went to get it checked out CK. It must have been a worrying time until you were told everything was OK though. Take care.

I'm just glad the thing worked. Please try to slow down and take it easy for a bit.

I have a weak heart and an enlarged heart. The rythem problems are common in people who have that. That's why the defibrilator was put in.
