Palm Springs California whish is way sout had freezing temps last night and the orange crops and other citrus is probably ruined! A friend of mine on the outskirts of San Diego sent me a pic of her birdbath that was totally frozen over.

Good to see you, pianolady. We missed you around here.
And yup, our weather is crazy this year. We have 70's now, heading for a hard freeze tonight. Go figure.

Chance's water bowl was totally frozen this morning. Not just a skim on the top as usual on a cold morning. If it gets cold here it's not usually under 30F.. Sometimes into the 20's but it doesn't last. Never does it go down to near zero. Even Phoenix had below freezing weather last night. It was the coldest since 1990 down there. I sure hope it warms up soon. I do realize that there are colder places than here but I'm here and it was cold. Dooley

Today we were supposed to have freezing rain and then dropping temperatures with heavy snow. The school bus's were cancelled all over the province and people were advised not to drive if they didn't have to. It turned out to be a nice day with a bit of snow accumulating. The kids and I had a great day playing outside!

What a difference! Mon. when I got up, it was 52 deg. This morning it was 32 and a few flurries! The news just said that the California citrus crop is 75% shot.

    It's so cold

It's 8:30 am, and we're up to -7 degrees! It was in the 50s the first week of January (not normal), and now we're colder than normal.

Plumbers in Phoenix can't keep up with calls on frozen pipes. And this is the desert? Must be global warming.

I spoke too soon didn't I? :( We had a really severe frost last night and the pond still has about an inch of ice on it. At least those dreadful gales have stopped for the time being. :-D

Wow, what proper winter weather you guys are all having. Here in Essex it is chilly, wet and windy, but not wintery. I long for snow or at least, good frosty morns. Take care people, know slipping and sliding around!
