I could not believe what I have been seeing in my yard. Junco's, pine siskins, and today a white crowned sparrow. The Pine siskins usually do not show up until the weather gets really cold and we have that white stuff on the ground. I hope this is not a sign of an early you know what showing up.

I'll keep my fingers crossed for you Tooty. Let's hope the weather doesn't deteriorate for a while yet.

While it is nice to have that feathered performance in your yard I will agree that doesn't bode well :/

Yes all: I hope that white stuff is quite a ways off. Maybe with all the funny weather we have been having this year it has caused the birds to be a bit "bird brained" shall we say. ;)

I haven't noticed any at my feeders but they could be there....they are such a nice bird and I can't wait to see them.

Haaa yes! I do love those migrating birds that we normally do not see. We have had some yellow rumped warblers visiting out yard for the last 2 weeks. :stew1:

Our black Phoebe is back for the winter and the Robins. They only stay around till all the Pyracantha berries are gone. The Hummers are nestled in for winter, will be here till it gets to hot, then up to the cooler mnts.
This Cactus Wren is building a Nest in a hanging pot on my Deck. I put a piece of coco liner over the top so it wont get wet. I read that they build practice nests all year round, sure is not the time of year to raise young, even in AZ.
