I don't like this at all, but what can I do? With temps down to -4°C or 25°F it's to be expected I guess. It's sad but sort of pretty too, the way the bloom colours shine through the snow.

    Autumn's last poppy:

The south-african Chrysanthemum the bees love. No bees left now:

One of our Hellebores is definately out of season:

My Daughter no. 2 knows where to find the last of the bluebells, and they're now blooming on our table:

Wonder when I'll see bluebells again.

Your flowers do look very pretty against the snow Droopy (especially the poppy.) However, I wish the snow had held off for you for a few weeks yet. You seem to have missed autumn altogether and gone straight into winter. :(

Oh dear, those poor blooms! I do hope this is just a tease and the snow will be gone soon Droopy. It seems so early.

Burrrrrrrrrrrr...... I just got out of the shower, but seeing the snow puts a chill right back in me. Burrrrrrr(again)....

Cold as it looks...I have to admit that the calendulas and that red poppy look supurb. What a lovely contrast.

#2 has a good eye for the flowers. Did they come from the stables, the woods or your own garden? They are lovely. They look campanula-ity.

...and what's going on with that Helaborus!? Your temps are very similar to the temps here, just a tad cooler...and of course the snow--we only have wet hail and sleet so far. I can feel the cold breath of Old Man Winter breathing on the back of my neck, though.

Now, no more moaning--these pics are great to see and the colour is still a joy.

Thanks for feeling sad with me. :D I hope this snow will disappear and maybe we'll have some autumn before the next onset of winter.

Sjoerd, the bluebells are wildflowers. I don't know where she finds them. It's her little secret.

Sjoerd, of course not. :D I just hope she'll show me before she feels she's getting too big to be picking wildflowers.

Thank you Stratsmom. You share my opinion. The rain is very thick today, but at least it's rain. We don't have to shovel that.
