While getting ready to plant a 20" raised bed I uncovered a rabbit's nest with 5 babies in it. Now DW won't let me within 20' of the garden.

John, you TOLD her about the rabbit's nest? I usually keep tidbits of information like that to myself. My husband, for some reason, thinks that "bunnies are cute." He doesn't have to deal with the bitten off bits of vegetable plants, and the holes in tomatoes.
    Dwatted wabbits!

John you didn't say what happened to the nest of rabbits or why your not allowed within 20' of the garden any more.

I used to be a very avid hunter when DW and I met. Infact I postponed our second date because it was hunting season. About 40 Years later I had some health problems and had to quit hunting. I think she thinks I would kill them with my cane. As soon as they run about the nest I will use my telephoto lense to get some photos. ;) :D

I didn't think you wouldn't harm them John but when you said your wife wouldn't let you near the garden I got a little worried!! Sorry for thinking, even for a moment, that they might have come to harm. It' so much better to shoot them with a camera isn't it than dispose of them? Mind you I hope your fencing keeps them away from your veggies.

Build them a cage and harvest their poop for your garden. ;)

I forgot about this post and sorry no photos. The next morning they were gone. Either the mother moved them, they moved on their own or the raccoons got them.
