The most part of daylilies from my collection are old varieties. I hope - not for the long time. Every year I get new varieties; this summer I started crossing daylilies too.

Those are all so beautiful, I don't think I can pick a favorite! I am drawn to the dark, richer colors as I don't see them here. "highway to hell" is beautiful but the name seems a little harsh :)

Oh, goodie, colour! :D I'm not certain how you found us, Vivasvat, but I'm ever so glad you did.

I really, really, really need to make the borders bigger and find room for more daylilies. I really like the dramatic ones, like your Highway and the Blueberry Sunday.

Those are very pretty daylilies. I am partial to daylilies anyway. There are so many to chose from.

Oh , my god.., Only few days I'm here - what it will be in the future?
Of course, I am thoroughly persuaded, that woman and flowers are the most beautiful things in the worl, but... what is the fine thing, that my wife don't speak English and don't read this forum... :-? :-D

    ssniaf,
You have very fine daylilies (I saw in Your albom) - are those varieties evergreen or dormant?

Most of mine are either Evergreen or Semievergree. I do have a few dormant ones.

Oh Vivasvat I am soooooo envious :D I have one day lily in my garden and it has not flowered yet :'( What is the secret, do they have to be really out in the sun. Mine only gets the full sun in the morning and then it is in partial shade for the rest of the day. Maybe I will have to move it somewhere else :-?

Now that is one impressive collection. I love the dark rich coloured ones, and the double type, and the yellow ones, and they smaller bloomed ones, and the pinky ones and the stripy ones, in fact, I loves them all!

Gaylyn, I just saw them and am awed. Gladioli are my favorite flower, the daylily is second. Those are lovely. How big is Churchill Down. The polypetal in the bottom group of photos is awesome. Thanks for sharing all of your lovelies with us Vivasvat.
