I've been stuck inside all day and bored stiff. While going through boxes of stuff, I found these 2 photos from my old house in New Mexico.
I miss that house... but not all that snow (although it could be breathtakingly beautiful).

That is a cool house. Garden window in the kitchen? Is there a window on the tall wall under the steeply sloping roof? Did it have a good view of something pretty?

I want snow like that

Yes Toni... the garden window was one of my demands when we replaced all the windows in the house (and added the stucco). That steep roof was an addition... Had vigas and latillas (wooden beams) and yes... nothing but windows facing south up there. It was the utility room/entry/hang out area. Lots of plants too.
The first photo faces south. Nothing noteworthingly pretty... a neighbors mobile home and the highway about a mile way. BUT... there was awesome skies since there wasn't much blocking the view.

Fun going through old photos. I need to get a bunch more scanned. Lovely stucco home.

Jewell... I could wear out a scanner in a day with all the photos around here! :D
And to prove my point... here's 2 more. Toni asked about the view. This is facing mostly south but a bit to the east. That's my God-son hunting Easter eggs.

And you all know how I am with before & afters. Here's the "before" with the addition just completed (you can see the windows in this view).

    Hi Cheryl,
i am sure that like me you can see yourself still inside that house when you stop and study those pictures,..remembering the good points and the not so good about the garden and so forth,..looking back to almost another world and life.

You're exactly right Philip! Definitely another whole life ago. Great memories though.
It's funny... I can't remember what that tall plant is by the window. Maybe a wild sunflower?
