Thanks, that is my favorite view of the kitchen area especially with the lights turned on. You all do see the snowmen floating around the doorway and the white cabinet, right? Barb, that's my version of what used to be called a Still Room Top shelf-- filled with decorative empty jars and bottles. 2nd shelf -- jars filled with candles I have made. 3rd shelf -- soap, salve, ointment and supplies and a couple of jars of candles 4th shelf-- soap fragrances, some smaller jars and bottles and jars of dried herbs for whatever. 5th shelf -- candle fragrances, more jars and fragrance oils 6th shelf -- small bottles, vitamins and stuff 7th shelf -- some candles and more cute bottles. I have this passion for cute jars and bottles, especially small ones The small shelves on the far right are for Essential Oils and potions
toni, That is splendid. I really love it. What ambiance that area has. Would love to see more. Yes, the snowmen are very cute also but I am quite smitten with the whole room. :-D
Barb, this topic I really needed more shelves shows the before and after of building those shelves. I designed them specifically with the size of jars and purpose of the contents in mind and Randy did a super job of following my instructions Only thing that has changed, besides lots more stuff filling up the shelves is that we decided not to put glass doors on them for the time being. I will take a really updated photo when I clean up the rest of the room
So happy to see the snowmen arrive at your home! And those are some great shelves... But I wonder, what ever became of your still? :-D
Are you sure that an elf is not dressed up as a snowman? Everything is so warm an cozy. Like Barb I was not around for the re-make. What happens if a snowman touches a warm bulb? I wonder if they wear gloves to stay cold? Jerry
I LOVE SNOWMEN!!! That is sooooo cozy looking! I really like that tablecloth too!! Lat night I spent about 2 hours on ebay just looking at tablecloths and doilies
Cheryl, the still is in storage. Last two summers there has been nothing to distill because of the drought Jerry, the snowmen aren't there all the time :'( I guess when the lights get too hot they evaporate. No snowmen this morning ( photo / image / picture from toni's Garden ) Deanna, I crocheted that tablecloth for my Mom for Christmas 1977. She loved the Pineapple pattern and I had never made one .... and will never make another one!!!
Thanks you all. That kitchen area and the livingroom are the two main reasons why any interior designer who thinks they have the answers to everyone's designing problems would walk in our front door, immediately curl up in the fetal position and whimper for hours. So has nobody gotten curious about how those snowmen appeared in the first photo?
