On this cold and rainy day

    a flower bloomed. Actually a few flowers bloomed. I have never had these before so will have to look them up or wait for Glenda to tell me what they are. I was sitting at the window and said to dr that that bush out by the road had something red on it. He went and looked and said I might want to take the camera and get a picture. I never even noticed the buds on it. How alert is that?

    and not to be outdone by the red flowers this little white narcissus bloomed across the yard from it.

    What a lovely, bright surprise to find in your garden Dooley. :-D My narcissus are only about three inches out of the ground so I have a while yet before they bloom for me.

    Yes, this bush was a cutting from my moms Flowering Quince.It will tell you a cold front is on the way.Its blooms
    will surprise you as it has only a few
    leaves when it blooms.

    Wonderful to see some flowers blooming somewhere! I love quince, and it has such a nice fall color, too.

    That is a beautiful color...one of my favs. Glenda, what do you mean it tells you that a cold front is coming?
