a flower bloomed. Actually a few flowers bloomed. I have never had these before so will have to look them up or wait for Glenda to tell me what they are. I was sitting at the window and said to dr that that bush out by the road had something red on it. He went and looked and said I might want to take the camera and get a picture. I never even noticed the buds on it. How alert is that? a couple of close up pictures, too and not to be outdone by the red flowers this little white narcissus bloomed across the yard from it. It sure put a cheery spin on a gray dreary day. dooley
What a lovely, bright surprise to find in your garden Dooley. :-D My narcissus are only about three inches out of the ground so I have a while yet before they bloom for me.
Yes, this bush was a cutting from my moms Flowering Quince.It will tell you a cold front is on the way.Its blooms will surprise you as it has only a few leaves when it blooms.
Wonderful to see some flowers blooming somewhere! I love quince, and it has such a nice fall color, too.
