I have a branch of a rose of sharon that I broke off the main plant about a month ago. I just stuck it in a pot of potting soil on my deck and it is only a foot tall and has 2 beautiful blooms and a lot of buds on it. It also has bunches of roots. Before I stuck it in the pot I removes all the flowers and buds and every other leaf. Now its going nuts.

Oh dear Dave, can't see the photo. Sounds as if you have really got 'green fingers'.

I am not doing the photos right. I can't get any to come up. Going to try to find some help here somewhere.

I have about six of them in that color along the fence. I keep them trimed so they don't get too tall.Thats how I get all my starts) I also have 3 purple colored Rose of Sharon. Two are about 4' and one is 6'.

Cathy, I think you have the magic touch. That is gorgeous. It did go 'nuts' for sure. Be sure and show us any other pictures you have of flowers, pets, etc. ;)

I love that color, do you know the variety, I sure would like to find one.

    It is my namesake plant.
