Cowslips have always been one of my favorites. Many years ago I saw them in a wet boggy field. The next year I saw these small yellow flowers in our garden. At that time I had a patch of garden just for me. I dug these yellow flowers up and moved them into my plot. A while later my mother said her yellow PRIMROSES had gone. Well, yellow flowers to an eight year old are all the same.

I have cowslips here too as they attract hover flies and bees. They're a nice addition to my wildflower patch and I hope they spread.

We have both and they cross to provide an interesting hybrid swarm.
