I just have one more day to work! Then, begins the real work of finishing up the packing. Moving day starts the Friday after Thanksgiving and concludes on December 2nd or 3rd when we turn in the truck in Texas. Last night at work they had a party for me. Every one said such nice things. Here are a few pictures. Not too many though, I wouldn't want to fill up the whole forum. dooley punch, cake and little bits of cheesecake close up of cake my two close co-workers The lady is the library's oldest employee. She is 78 years old and works 20 hrs per week. The man is the ass't director. I even got presents The lady in orange was my supervisor and the lady behind her is our evening supervisor. She's just back from 3 months off because of a motorcycle accident. Hope you enjoyed the party. dooley
Dooley the cake was delicious! How sweet it was for them to throw a party for you. But I know you certainly deserved it. At least you can see the light at the end of the tunnel, and it is not a train!! Looking forward to meeting you when you get to Texas.
All your co-workers look like a great bunch of people Dooley. They'll definately miss you when you're gone. So glad you took piccies of your party Dooley - I love the cake!! :-D
Your cake is so pretty Laura and all looks so yummy. Oh just think they will be my neighbors and all we have to do is yell and say come on over and we can sit and have cake tea and or coffee together. That will be so wonderful and I get to meet Dan ,Laurel and Chance. How nice it will be.It still seems a long way off.
What a nice party---and those co-workers--weren't they terrific. You (and we) could see how much they appreciated you as a collegue. It must have been so nice for you. I could hardly contain myself when I say the scrumptous-looking food.
What a nice bunch of people you work with. Cheese cake looks so good. Your yellow cake is pretty. I'm sure your co-workers will miss you dearly.
Did you cry?? I know I would have!!! So very nice of them to do that for you!! How long did you work there??
That really says something about how special you are to all of them. *oo I shouldn't get online when I'm hungry!*
I worked there two and a half years. But, I'm one of those people who can't sit idle and do nothing. So, if I had my work done I offered to help anyone who needed help. We had a seminar in teamwork but the people at the library didn't need it. We worked as a team all of the time. It was a great place to work. I will truly miss working there and I will more than miss the people, especially the evening crew. I've promised pictures of us in our rocking chairs on the front deck. The town manager ask if I liked working there and the people were so great why was I quitting. I told him it was a bit far to commute from Texas. dooley
What a nice party. I am sure they will really miss you. Find time to your feet up before the big move. I don't envy you that. Moving is a lot of work. I wish you lots of love and friends in your new place.
Good party! I really like the look of that food. I would have cried buckets! And today is your last day, enjoy it to the fullest.
Looks as if everyone had a good time at your party Dooley, the food looks great. Nice to have the photos to remember all your work friends. Good luck in your new home, hope the move goes smoothly
