last yr I planted 12 mums I bought from a farm in Indiana. Colors were rust, yellow, and a reddish one.
This year 2 plants are blooming in different colors.
One plant has 3 and one plant has 2. How is this possible to get different colors from one plant that started out as all rust??
I am going out now to take pictures to post...

You may have a variety like 'Talisman,' a perennial garden mum that has several colors such as yellow, pink and bronze with many shades in between. With the proper care your garden mum should give you many years of blooms.
I can not imagine fall without these densely packed blooms livening up corners of the yard as the flowers of summer surrender to the autumn temperatures. Enjoy your mums for they give several weeks of color.
