    Photographed this rare plant today, not that far away either, closer than the airport. Lathyrus littoralis, Silky Beach Pea.

    Such delicate and pretty little flowers. Is this plant a protected species? I'd hate to think that someone would pull it up and try to transplant it into their gardens. Over here if you are found doing this you get a hefty fine.

    I have added the picture.
    It is red listed, rare I suppose that means. It looks quite well settled and no sign of any problems.
