No not a bad Brittany Spears song. I bought more plants yesterday. Besides the two different purple salvias and the gold marigolds for the new bed I got a six pack of Shasta Daisies for $1.99, thought that was an excellent price. I got chocolate mint, apple mint, and a pretty lemon scented herb, but I can't recall the name right now. So I guess that means an herb garden is in order. Richard got some cucumbers also. Tonight at Big Lots, of all places, I found a variegated Jade plant. It is so pretty, a real pretty green, the color of real jade and off white. Richard also rescued a huge half whiskey barrel from the neighbors trash Wednesday about 5 minutes before the garbage ran. I still can't believe she had it out for trash pick up. I am putting Persian shield, chartreuse coleus, and blue torenia in it. I need to find something to hang down, probably lamium. I saw a container in a mag today that had the Persian shield and the same coleus and a blue flower, don't remember what. But it had a mandevilla vine growing on a tepee trellis in the middle, really pretty. OK, I am rattling on here, time for bed.
Rattling on is acceptable here. Many of us do it, especially when we just bought something new---or old. Dooley
MMMm apple mint...I bet that smells good!!!We have chocolate mint and spearmint.Next mission...apple mint
Keep rambling!!!! I love hearing all about the things others have bought - especially if they're plants.
I love the rambling too! I like to hear about peoples new plants. Especially because none of the garden centers here are open yet!
i call it yapping, lol.and good at it myself!,the whiskey barrel was good that you got,1 persons trash another persons treasure!!
Oh Bethie, these people don't think. They are a bit odd. Always getting rid of one thing and getting something else. There last two dogs got stolen bc they let them run wild, so now they got three more, go figure.
Plants are fun! I couldn't get into them liking me though. Hope pretty soon after these months of joining this forum I'd improve. :-|
I'm having plant envy. Not many garden centers open here yet. And it's too cold yet to plant if I did buy some.
